GB Legends Unbeaten with Three Consecutive Wins, Samurai and Aces Set for Final-Round Showdown

Chandigarh, October 17: Hunting Hawks secured a top-two finish in Group B with a hard-fought 4–3 victory over Swinging Samurai, setting up a crucial final-round showdown between the Samurai and GD Aces in the GB Realty Chandigarh Golf League 2026 at The Chandigarh Golf Club on Saturday. Partee Panthers registered their first victory with a 4.5–2.5 win over Chiefs, while Captain’s 18 defeated Empire 5–2 and GB Legends edged TAC Eagles 4–3 to record their third consecutive win and remain unbeaten in Group C.

Hunting Hawks Hold Off Swinging Samurai
Hunting Hawks extended their winning run to four matches, building their victory on another singles sweep. Arav Singh Dagar won 3&1, while Krishna Kaila added a 3&2 victory to give the Group B leaders both opening points.

Swinging Samurai fought back strongly in the pairs. S K Sharma and Arun Gupta won 4&3, captain B S Gill and Ranjeev Dahuja delivered a commanding 7&5 victory, and Col. J S Deo and Capt. M S Bedi added a 3&1 result.

The Hawks found the decisive points through Shalini Sheoran and Vinay S Bhan (3&1) and a dramatic finish involving Col. A S Sekhon and Sukhdev Singh Sidhu. After the Samurai pair won the 16th and 17th holes, Sekhon and Sidhu took the last to finish 1 Up, securing the narrow point that proved crucial to the team’s success.

With four rounds completed, Hunting Hawks lead Group B on 20.5 points and are safely through to the knockouts. Swinging Samurai remain second on 16, while GD Aces sit 1.5 points behind on 14.5. The two sides now face a decisive final-round encounter: the Aces need at least a 4.5–2.5 victory to overtake the Samurai, while a 4–3 win would leave them half a point short.

Partee Panthers Open Their Winning Account
Partee Panthers claimed their first team victory, defeating Chiefs 4.5–2.5 after the singles were shared. Bhavkaran Singh won the final two holes to finish 1 Up, while Darvesh Kumar secured Chiefs’ singles point with a 5&4 victory.

Captain Simarinder Singh and Kewal Singh Virk produced the Panthers’ biggest result, winning 8&6. Sahil Sahgal and Aarman Kler added a 5&3 victory, while Adilbir Singh and Neelam Garg took the final two holes to finish 2 Up against Manpal Singh and Zorawar Singh.

Fl. Lt. Sukhinder Singh and Prabhjot Singh Cheema contributed a half-point, while Rusy Kohli and Brig. G S Puri secured Chiefs’ only outright pairs victory with a 5&3 result.

Partee Panthers and Tee Birds now have 12 points each, while Chiefs have nine, leaving the final qualification picture dependent on the last round’s results.

GB Legends Maintain Unbeaten Run
GB Legends recorded their third successive victory, edging TAC Eagles 4–3 to maintain their unbeaten Group C campaign. Balpreet Ghuman won 4&3 in the singles, while Udaybir Singh responded for the Eagles with a 2&1 victory.

The Legends took control in the pairs, with Viraj Gandhi and Jaskirat Manchanda winning 5&3, Dr. Ravi Sher Toor and Arjun Singh Rai securing a 6&4 victory, and Naunihal Singh and Jastar Singh Billing adding a 3&2 result.

TAC Eagles fought back through Lt. Gen. I S Singha and Col. Narjit Singh (5&4) and Dalip Singh Kang and Simran Gujral (4&3). However, the Legends secured the extra point needed to preserve their winning streak.

Captain’s 18 registered their second successive victory, defeating Empire 5–2 after sweeping both singles. Kanwal Bajwa won 6&5, while H S Kang added a 3&2 victory.
