The Chandigarh Golf Club conducts its Monthly Medal Rounds exclusively for its members, providing an opportunity for golfers across age and handicap categories to compete in a friendly and competitive format.
The upcoming Monthly Medal Round will be played from 22 August 2026 to 23 August 2026, bringing members together for another exciting weekend of competitive golf.
Participation
The Monthly Medal Round is open to all Permanent, Midweek, NRI, Green Card, Tenure, Honorary, Corporate and Mess members, as well as their playing spouses.
Format of Play
- All handicap groups: 18 holes, stroke play with full handicap.
- Members above 75 years of age: 9 holes, stroke play with full handicap.
- Maximum playing handicap: 24 for men and 30 for ladies.
Prizes
Prizes are awarded across various categories, including:
- Overall Best Gross
- Handicap 0–9 – Winner & Runner-up Nett
- Handicap 10–18 – Winner & Runner-up Nett
- Handicap 19–24 – Winner & Runner-up Nett
- Ladies – Winner & Runner-up Nett
- Above 75 years – Winner & Runner-up Nett
- Above 85 years – Winner & Runner-up Nett
- Ladies Above 75 years – Winner & Runner-up Nett
- Ladies Above 75 years (18 holes) – Winner & Runner-up Nett
- Spot prizes for Straightest Drive and Closest to the Pin
Tee-Off & Registration
The Monthly Medal is conducted over designated days with staggered tee-offs. Members are required to enter their names within the stipulated registration period and report at least 15 minutes before their allotted tee-off time.
Score Cards
Players and markers must ensure that score cards are correctly completed, checked and submitted immediately after the round at the designated scoring area.
General Rules
Four-balls are permitted, subject to the Club’s conditions. Players must follow the Club’s rules and regulations, and any change of four-ball without prior permission may result in disqualification.
In case of inclement weather, the Monthly Medal Round may be cancelled and rescheduled.
Entry Fee: Nil
An absentee fee of ₹1,000 is applicable in case a member fails to report for an allotted tee-off time without prior withdrawal.
