Chandigarh, October 25: Defending champions The Mulligans, Sultans of Swing and Pirates of the Greens secured their semi-final berths on a dramatic quarter-final day in the GB Realty Chandigarh Golf League 2026 at The Chandigarh Golf Club on Sunday. The remaining spot will be decided on Monday after Hunting Hawks and Moksha Royals finished locked at 3.5–3.5, setting up a three-hole playoff at 9:00 am.
The Mulligans defeated GD Aces 4.5–2.5 in a rematch of last year’s final, earning a semi-final showdown with Sultans of Swing, who ended Golf Masters’ three-match winning streak with a 5–2 victory. Pirates of the Greens edged two-time champions Captain’s 18 by 4–3 and will face either Hunting Hawks or Moksha Royals for a place in the final.
The day’s most gripping contest saw the highest- and lowest-seeded qualifiers, Hunting Hawks and Moksha Royals, produce seven games that could not separate them. Arav Singh Dagar secured a 3&2 singles win for the Hawks, while Virain Khosla responded with a 2-up victory over Krishna Kaila, taking the final hole to claim his point.
Hunting Hawks strengthened their position in the pairs through two emphatic victories. Shalini Sheoran and Col. A S Sekhon won 6&5, while Vinay S Bhan’s pairing delivered an 8&7 triumph.
Moksha Royals fought back through Rohit Mittal and Veneet Mohan, who secured a 4&2 win, and a determined performance from Sachin Bansal and Sanjay Modgil. The Royals pairing won the 15th, 16th and 18th holes to finish 1 Up against Lt. Col. G M S Bindra and Sukhdev Singh Sidhu.
The final game went down to the 18th, where Moksha captain Rajiv Modgill and Akarsh Garg won the hole to halve their match against Ravibir Singh and Gurpreet Singh Bakshi. With the overall score tied, the two teams must return for a three-hole playoff, with a semi-final place at stake.
The Mulligans continued their title defence in commanding fashion, registering a sixth consecutive team victory. Angad Singh Matharoo opened with a 2&1 singles win, while Dr. Angad Sangha and Mivaan Singh halved their encounter to give the champions an early advantage.

GD Aces collected their two points in the pairs through Gursharan Grewal and Akshay Verma’s 4&2 victory, followed by a commanding 6&4 win for captain Rupinder Singh and Varun Rao.
